SmartMoms Canada

Dr. Adamo and her research team at the University of Ottawa are looking for pregnant women to participate in the SmartMoms Canada study!

As a pregnancy-specific mobile health application (app) to guide women through a healthy pregnancy, SmartMoms Canada intends to help women manage gestational weight gain and engage in healthful behaviours. It contains evidence based information in topics like sleep, nutrition, mindfulness, motivation, exercise, and social support. You will be given a Fitbit fitness tracker and Withings smart-scale to connect to the SmartMoms Canada app and track your health information.

Dr. Adamo and her team are looking for women that are less than or equal to 20 weeks of gestation to test the SmartMoms Canada app. This project will focus on evaluating the efficacy and usefulness of the SmartMoms Canada app during a limited-release trial at various health care sites across Canada.
